Momento (2000) is the masterfully crafted psychological thriller starring Guy Pierce and directed by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception), and is now available on Amazon. Pierce plays Leonard, a former insurance claims investigator on a mission to track down his wife's murderer. A man he believes is called John G. However, when his wife was killed Leonard was struck over the head and now has sever short term memory loss. He can no longer make any new memories and must use his extraordinary detecting skills to decipher the many notes, Polaroids, and self made tattoos he leaves for himself every few seconds. He can't trust anyone - not the crooked cop Teddy, who claims to be a friend, nor Natalie, who is mixed up with a drug dealer and asking for help. Each clue brings him closer and closer to the truth but as we see this caper unfold backwards, we learn that sometimes it's better to just forget.
