In an attempt to live a normal life, Agent K has quit the Men In Black, had his memory wiped clean, and is now working at a post office. As Agent K's old partner, Agent J, is investigating an alien crime one day, he discovers that an evil extraterrestrial named Serleena has landed in New York City. In order to take over the planet Zartha, Serleena needs the Light of Zartha, a mysterious item that is hidden somewhere on Earth. Agent J also learns that there is only one person who knows the location of the powerful light - Agent K. In order to thwart Serleena's evil plan, Agent J must try to spur Agent K's memory so that they can find the Light of Zartha first.
