Mesa of Lost Women is a 1953 science fiction thriller directed by Ron Ormond and Herbert Tevos, which tells the story of a mystical scientific endeavor that attempts to create a superior race of seductive female specimens through dark experiments. Doctor Aranya (Jackie Coogan) is a psychotic scientist who is delusional about creating a race of superwomen who will have enhanced charm and seductive powers, but at the same time will be lethally dangerous. In her laboratory in the Mexican desert, Aranya conducts experiments on giants spiders that produce a special poison with mutation and transformation properties. By injecting the substance, Doctor Aranya is able to transform humans into bizzare creatures. The men turn into malformed and ugly creatures, while women become sexy and seductive yet dangerous specimens. Aranya's fellow male scientist, Doctor Leland Masterson (Harmon Stevens), will soon become the first victim who will endure the tests and experience the magical powers of the new superwoman race.
