Metallica: Phantom Puppets is a 2007 documentary about the band Metallica. Metallica is the most successful heavy-metal band of all time and the group has sold a staggering 90 million albums. Known for their hard-hitting, aggressive sound and their intense live performances, this documentary offers fans an inside look at the private and public lives of these music icons. From the bands inception in 1981 and their early struggles, to the death of original bassist Cliff Burton and the departure of Jason Newstead, this film covers every major event in Metallica's history.
