Michael Winslow: Live is a comedy video featuring a stand up performance from the human sound effect actor of the well-known film series, Police Academy. Michael Winslow performs live at the Curran Theater in San Francisco, CA, bringing with him impersonations of some famous figures. The film opens with the comedian dressed like Jimi Hendrix. He plays an air guitar and imitates its sound perfectly. Michael then picks on a few members of the audience just before returning as Tina Turner. Led Zeppelin is next on the agenda when the comedian plays Led Zeppelin's, "Stairway to Heaven," without an instrument in sight. Director Rick Pamplin then cuts to a backstage satire of Michael impersonating the Reverend Jesse Jackson and President Bill Clinton. After, Rick returns to the stage to film the actor reproducing different sounds, including cars, computers and every kind of animal that the people in the audience can come up with.
