Mickey Down Under is an animated Disney short film that takes the popular cartoon character and his dog Pluto on some adventures in Australia. Mickey Mouse (James MacDonald) and Pluto (Pinto Colvig) head down under for a vacation. While walking on the beach, Pluto finds a boomerang, thinking it's a stick to fetch. Mickey tells Pluto what the item is and throws it to show his dog how it works. Pluto, still thinking it's a regular stick, tries to fetch it in mid-air. The boomerang gets caught in his mouth, and Mickey has a hard time getting it out. Meanwhile, a giant ostrich has lost her egg. Mickey finds it and wants it for a souvenir. The ostrich sees Mickey with her egg and chases the mouse around the beach, only to get hit by Pluto, who still has the boomerang in his mouth. The impact releases it, and Mickey drops the egg. The two then head back to their cabin, but suddenly realized that the boomerang has come to life and is now angrily after them.moreless
