Mickey's Delayed Date is a 1947 short Disney animated comedy directed by Charles A. Nichols. Minnie Mouse (Ruth Clifford) and Mickey Mouse (Walt Disney) have plans to meet at a dance. Minnie waits patiently for Mickey to arrive, but becomes annoyed when he doesn't show up. She calls Mickey to find out where he is, and Mickey assures her he is on his way. Minnie makes it clear that she will not wait much longer for Mickey to arrive. Mickey struggles to get ready for the dance as quickly as possible. In his rush, he leaves something important at home. Mickey's trusted dog, Pluto (Pinto Colvig), realizes Mickey has made a mistake and rushes out, with the forgotten item, to help his beloved owner. At the same time, Mickey realizes his error and heads home to fix his mistake. Will Mickey and Pluto catch up to each other in time to save his date with Minnie?
