Mission Impossible III continues the Mission Impossible movie series with super-spy Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). In this movie he is retired from his active duty and is working as a trainer for new IMF agents. He is forced to report to duty once again though when deadly villain Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) begins causing chaos throughout the world. Owen works as an international weapons and information provider and he has absolutely no remorse for the work that he does. Ethan has to quickly assemble a team and gathers his friend Luther Strickell (Ving Rhames), transportation expert Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), and background operative Zhen (Maggie Q). Zhen agrees to go on the job only to rescue one of his own trainees Lindsey (Keri Russell), who was previously kidnapped when working on surveillance detail of Owen.
