Mission: Impossible is a 1996 action film directed by Brian De Palma. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is a spy in the branch of the CIA known as the Impossible Missions Force. When the CIA learns that an American is about to reveal the non-official cover list of every European secret agent, Ethan and the rest of the elite spy team head to Prague to stop him. During the mission, somebody murders all of the spies and only Ethan manages to escape. When he meets with the head of the CIA, Eugene Kittridge (Henry Czerny), Ethan learns that the mission was a set-up to uncover a mole in the IMF itself who is trying to sell the list of spies. The agency now suspects that Ethan is the traitor, so he has to go on the run. With the help of fellow renegade agents, Ethan struggles to prove that he is innocent and to find the true mole.
