Mister Lonely is a film from 2007 that is a mixture of drama and comedy. The main characters in this film are Michael Jackson (Diego Luna), Marilyn Monroe (Samantha Morton), Charlie Chaplin (Denis Lavant), and the Pope (James Fox). All of these characters have real lives and real names, but they prefer to use their personas that they have taken on, as impersonators of famous people. This drama takes place in Paris, France where the Michael impersonator is down on his luck, or so he thinks.Michael Jackson bumps into Marilyn who immediately takes a liking to him and decides to invite him to join he impersonators community in Scotland. Here he finds that there are many impersonators that take their hobby of impersonating very seriously. Marilyn Monroe's husband, Charlie Chaplin, is very serious about impersonating and his wife, so he does not appreciate Michael taking over her time. Michael makes friends with Marilyn's daughter, Shirley, but will their friendship last?
