Mod F*k Explosion is an award-winning 1994 film by Jon Moritsugu, serving as a bizarre and imaginative New Wave remake of the classic West Side Story narrative. Blonde-haired London (Amy Davis) is a surly and confused teenager, just seeking a place where she can belong and find a meaning in her life. London also witnesses the constant cultural clash between two posturing and violent gangs, the Mods and the Rockers. Lonely London hopes to fit in with one of the groups, but the constant battles make it hard for her to relate to either one. London does not find much comfort at home, either, since her mother (Bonnie Stieger) and brother, X-Ray Spex (Victor Fischbarg), behave just as bizarrely as any of the gang members. London and her only friend, M16 (Desi del Valle), are eventually left to figure out their own paths in a violent and unforgiving world of gang clashes.
