Mojave Moon, directed by Kevin Dowling and written by Leonard Glasser, is a 1996 dark romantic comedy starring Angelina Jolie as a seductive hitchhiker. When car salesman Al McCord (Danny Aiello) meets the beautiful Ellie Rigby (Angelina Jolie) at a coffee shop, she convinces him to give her a ride into the Mojave Desert so she can visit her mother Julie (Anne Archer). Al falls in love with Julie, but a series of bizarre events - a flat tire, a dead body, and a shoot-out at a gas station - lead him to flee the desert and head back to civilization. Al comes to realize he hasn't escaped the madness so easily after he is followed by Ellie and Julie, who are in turn followed by Julie's violent boyfriend Boyd (Michael Biehn). When Boyd kidnaps the two ladies, Al must once again return to the Mojave desert, this time to attempt a daring rescue.moreless
