Molly and Me is a delightful 1945 screwball comedy that shines with the unique talent of Gracie Fields, famously the beloved wife of George Burns. Molly Barry (Gracie Fields) struggles to make ends meet as an actress, so she takes a job as housekeeper. She keeps up her spirits by believing it is just another role for her to play. Unfortunately, the man of the house, John Graham (Monty Woolley) has a horrible disposition. This wealthy former politician has driven away his wife (Doris Lloyd), his staff, and even his son Jimmy (Roddy McDowall). He only has his loyal servant Peabody the Butler (Reginald Gardiner) to remain by his side. As Graham scares away employees, Molly brings her theater buddies to take their place. She also teaches Graham a thing or two about how to treat people. Director Lewis Seiler ("You're in the Army Now") crafts a light and entertaining black-and-white classic.
