Monkeys, Go Home! is a family film directed by Andrew McLaglen that centers on a young American, Henry Dussard (Dean Jones), who finds himself in France after inheriting a ramshackle olive farm when his uncle dies. Though even the local priest, Father Sylvain (Maurice Chevalier) and neighbors, including the very pretty Maria Riserau (Yvette Mimieux), consider the farm to be a lost cause, Henry decides to bring it to life with the help of not local farmers but four mischievous chimpanzees. Of course, the local farmers are not exactly welcoming to the new workers, going so far to threaten to strike unless he gives back the chimps to their first home in a space program. Things get complicated even with the little workers when a male chimp riles the all-female group. Monkeys, Go Home! is one of a number of classic Disney films centering on the wacky actions of its main characters.
