Monster in the Closet is a 1986 comedy/horror film written and directed by Bob Dahlin. In the small town of Chestnutt Hills, a monster attacks and kills several people in their bedroom closets. When reporter Richard Clark (Donald Grant) hears that people have been found murdered with puncture wounds on their bodies, he convinces editor Ben Bernstein (Jesse White) to let him take the story. He arrives in the town, where he meets Sheriff Sam Ketchem (Claude Akins) and biology teacher Diane Bennett (Denise DuBarry), who thinks that an animal is killing people. While investigating the scene of one of the murders, Richard finds a strange claw that belongs to the creature. After someone spots the monster murdering again, General Turnbull (Donald Moffat) leads the military on a quest to slay the beast. When the monster seems immune to the military's firepower, Richard and Diane must come up with a different plan to kill it.
