Moonlight Serenade is a 2009 romantic musical about an investment banker by day, Nate (Alec Newman), who spends his evenings in his apartment playing the songs of George Gershwin and Irving Berlin on his piano. A hat check girl from the local jazz club, Chloe (Amy Adams), has dreams of her own as a singer, and is mesmerized by Nate's playing when she hears it drifting down from his apartment at night. Soon, the two meet and begin rehearsing some numbers together, discovering not only a mutual love of music but a strong physical attraction as well. However, Chloe already has a boyfriend, the drug addled Paul (JB Blanc), and spurns Nate's romantic advances. Devastated, Nate decides that he no longer wants anything to do with music and gives up the piano. Will the two be able to overcome their obstacles and make beautiful music together? Moonlight Serenade was written and directed by Giancarlo Tallarico.
