More Dogs Than Bones is a 2000 film that was directed and writen by Michael Browning. The film begins with gangster Victoria 'Vic' Galetti (Mercedes Ruehl) hiding one million dollars of cash in the travelling bags of Raj Lukla (Chaim Girafi), who is a foreigner travelling in the United States so that he can meet his nephew Andy (Ajay Naidu). Vic did this because she knew that security would stop her at the Los Angeles airport if she tried to go through with such a large amount of money. She assigns the task of finding Raj and the money to her underlings within the gang. Specifically, the task goes to De Salvo (Joe Mantegna) and Quinn (Paul Hipp). The task seems simple enough until Andy's dog, Socrates, gets involved by stealing the suitcase and hiding it. Detective Cody (Peter Coyote) is on Vic's case for other crimes and becomes suspicious of what she is up to, especially when her stress level reaches new heights because of the pressure her boss, Iva Doll (Louise Fletcher), is placing on her.moreless
