Mother's Boys

Movie Summary

Director:
Yves Simoneau
Released:
1994
Rating:
R
Mother's Boys is a tense psychological thriller wherein a psychopathic estranged wife attempts to sabotage her ex-husband's new romance by pitting her children against his lover. Jude (Jamie Lee Curtis, Halloween) had turned her back on her husband Robert (Peter Gallagher, Sex, Lies and Videotape) and their three sons several years earlier. With perfect timing, Jude comes back for revenge now that Robert has filed for divorce after falling in love with the lovely assistant principal at his son's school. At first, Jude merely tries to convince the children that Colleen (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer, Willow) is an intruder on the rightful family, but the cuckold's actions soon turn dangerous, as Jude attempts to frame the educator for assault. Things are exacerbated further when she tries to win over her 12-year-old son Kes (Luke Edwards, Newsies, Jeepers Creepers II), involving him in a potentially deadly scheme. Directed by Yves Simoneau and written by Barry Schneider (Harper Valley PTA).
