Motives is a 2004 dramatic thriller directed by Craig Ross Jr. that tells the story of a wealthy man who is forced to take responsibility for cheating on his wife and escape from numerous problems that appeared after a night of pleasure. Emery Simms (Shemar Moore) is an accomplished businessman with a successful career and friends from the most elite social circles. He is married to a beautiful and refined woman, Constance Simms (Vivica A. Fox). Although his life seems perfect, Emery wants to feel some danger and excitement to escape from the daily routine. When he meets exotic and seductive Allannah James (Golden Brooks), Emery becomes the victim of her charm and spends one night with her. But cheating on his wife is about to cost Emery more than the effort of keeping a secret. He becomes indirectly involved in a murder with a witness who is eager to talk and also meets Allannah's former boyfriend who is not happy about the situation.moreless
