Moving Violations

Movie Summary

Director:
Neal Israel
Released:
1985
Rating:
PG-13
Moving Violations is a comedy film directed by Neal Israel that centers on the amazingly boring and tormenting traffic school, a punishment a group of unlucky drivers find themselves experiencing in order to not lose their licenses. For the rash Dana Cannon (John Murray), his devil-may-care attitude clashes with the overbearing mentality of Deputy Halik (James Keach), the officer in charge of the school. The class is a little more than a hodgepodge of a class with a rocket scientist (Meg Tilly), a hypochondriac (Wendie Jo Sperber), a mechanic (Fred Willard), a near-blind old woman (Nedra Volz), and a puppeteer (Brian Backer), all of whom who would do anything to not have their licenses voided and their cars impounded. When Dana discovers Halik's plan with Judge Henderson (Sally Kellerman), the same judge who put them in the class, to have them fail anyone in order to sell off their cars in an auction, he organizes the class against their teachers in order to show that no one should mess with their right to drive.moreless
