Mr. Arkadin is a crime drama written and directed by the legendary Orson Welles. When American criminal Guy Van Stratten (Robert Arden) is released from an Italian prison, he decides to track down the wealthy business man Gregory Arkadin (Orson Welles), a name that he has heard might be valuable. Deftly working his way into Arkadin's inner circle by seducing his daughter Raina (Paola Mori), Van Stratten manages to meet this secretive tycoon. At their meeting Arkadin claims to have no memory prior to 1927, when he was found wandering the streets of Z''rich with a briefcase filled with money, and hires Van Stratten to investigate his past. Van Stratten accepts and embarks on a transcontinental journey as he attempts to track down the few names Arkadin could remember. However, Van Stratten finds people reluctant to speak to him, and he soon understands why as those who do begin to turn up dead.
