Mr. Majestyk is a 1974 action film starring Charles Bronson as Vince Majestyk. After serving his country in Vietnam, Majestyk seeks out a quiet life as a watermelon farmer. When local mob boss Bobby Kopas (Paul Koslo) tries to force Majestyk to hire cheap labor to harvest the melons, Majestyk sticks to his convictions and hires skilled laborers, including his love interest Nancy Chavez (Linda Cristal). Not to be defied, Kopas drums up charges that send Majestyk to prison, where he makes more enemies who threaten both his life and his livelihood. Although this film is set in rural Colorado, its plot is packed with small town corruption schemes, local rackets, and the issues that arise when a man cannot simply play by the rules. Even without the benefits of modern computer editing, this film features all the stunts that an action flick should - fast driving, firing shotguns and, of course, Charles Bronson kicking some serious tail.
