Mr. North is a 1988 comedy drama directed by Danny Huston. The comedy is based on the 1973 novel "Theophilus North" by Thornton Wilder. In the film, Mr. T. Theophilus North (Anthony Edwards) is a charming Yale graduate who spends his summers mingling with the rich and upper class in Newport, Rhode Island. At first the residents, especially, Mr. Bosworth (Robert Mitchum) and his family, take an immediate liking to the eloquent man. Recently, Mr. Bosworth hired Mr. North to be a tutor and tennis coach for his young children. The two men had also become close confidants. However, when the engaging Mr. North is accused of quackery due to the electric charge his body gives off his life quickly falls apart. Now, Mr. North must rely on his new friends to help him defend himself. Will the new friends step up to defend Mr. North? Watch Mr. North to find out.
