Mr. Rice's Secret is an adventure and mystery film about a dying boy's quest for life. A dying boy, Owen Walters (Bill Switzer) receives a mysterious letter one day, addressed to him from someone named Mr. Rice, who leaves Owen a series of possessions to aid him on a quest. Left to him are a cryptic medieval ring, a handful of clues to help find the way, and most curious of all, a treasure map. It seems to Owen that Mr. Rice (David Bowie) left him these things to try and help save his life, as the object at the end of the quest is noted to be a "Potion of Life". Throughout the journey, Owen must deal with a variety of surreal encounters, including the characters "Funnel Head" and "Mr. Death". Will there really be eternal or extended life waiting for Owen at the end of this challenge, has it already been taken, or is Mr. Rice's journey all for naught?moreless
