Murder Once Removed is a 1971 story of love and betrayal. Frank Manning (Richard Kiley) is a wealthy and self-centered married man who innocently trusts in the advice of his doctor, Dr. Ron Wellesley (John Forsythe). Little does he know, his wife, Lisa (Barbara Bain), has had enough of her husband. She begins seeing Dr. Wellesley for reasons that go far beyond medical concerns. The two of them hatch a secret plan to do away with Frank, make off with his fortune, and escape together. However, Frank has suspicions about his wife's faithfulness and hires a private investigator. With photos in hand, he confronts Dr. Wellesley during a game of golf. Furthermore, the PI has unearthed the doctor's dark past, which includes the sudden deaths of some of his patients. The doctor makes a calm and surrendered promise to Frank. However, the pressure is now on, because the doctor knows that at any minute he might be exposed. Frank makes an appointment to see Wellesley, and Wellesley sees an opportunity he may never have again.moreless
