Murder With Pictures is an American crime film produced by Paramount Pictures that was released in 1936. The film was directed by Charles Barton and the screenplay was written by George Harmon Coxe and Sidney Salkow and the story was developed by Jack Moffitt. Murder With Pictures, which stars Lew Ayres, Gail Patrick, Onslow Stevens, Ernest Cossart, Paul Kelly and Benny Baker, follows the story of a newsman Kent Murdock (Lew Ayres), who gets involved with a woman, named Meg Archer (Gail Patrick), who is accused of murder. Kent meets Gail at a party for recently acquitted criminal Nate Girard (Onslow Stevens), but when Nate's attorney is murdered, Meg flees the scene and is nowhere to be found. The police suspect Archer is the culprit and begin a manhunt for her. Meanwhile, Meg returns to Kent at his apartment to beg for his help and to protest her innocence. Despite the evidence, Kent thinks that she is innocent and feels compelled to help her. As Kent and Archer search for the real killer, things become even more complicated and convoluted.moreless
