Murderers' Row, first seen at the end of 1966, is the second comic spy film starring Dean Martin as secret agent Matt Helm; like The Silencers, shown earlier in the same year, it is only very loosely based on the Donald Hamilton novel of the same name. The Brotherhood of International Government and Order, or BIG O, has returned with a new plan for world domination. This time, they plan to use a powerful weapon to destroy Washington D.C. - a "helio-beam" capable of harnessing the power of the sun and focusing its energy towards a single pinpoint target. Matt Helm fakes his own death to escape assassination, and he has to go deep undercover to foil the deadly plan. Co-starring Ann-Margaret, Karl Malden, and Beverly Adams, this ridiculous parody is probably the best-liked of the four Matt Helm films.
