Starring Oscar-winner Charles Laughton ("The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Witness for the Prosecution") as the sadistic Captain Bligh, who drove his men to commit mutiny during a lengthy South Seas expedition to Tahiti. Co-starring Oscar-winning legend Clark Gable ("Gone With the Wind," "It Happened One Night") as the leader of the rebellion. With Oscar-winner Donald Crisp ("How Green Was My Valley"). Laughton, Gable and co-star Franchot Tone ("Advise and Consent") all received Oscar-nominations. Based on a true story.
