My Best Friend Is a Vampire is a 1987 horror/comedy film directed by Jimmy Huston. Awkward teenager Jeremy Capello (Robert Sean Leonard) keeps having strange, sexual dreams about a beautiful woman named Nora (Cecilia Peck), and he is shocked when he actually meets her. When Nora invites him into her bedroom, Jeremy cannot resist the urge to take her offer. However, two men, Leopold McCarthy (David Warner) and Grimstyke (Paul Willson), ambush them as they are getting intimate, causing Jeremy to flee. Jeremy, who was bitten by Nora during their encounter, discovers the next day that he is allergic to sunlight and garlic. He also has a newfound urge to taste human blood. A mysterious man named Modoc (Rene Auberjonois) soon appears and informs Jeremy that Nora's bite has turned him into a vampire. As Jeremy tries to cope with his transformation from average teen to bloodsucker, the vampire hunters who killed Nora are determined to slay him.
