Movie Summary

George Mihalka , Patrick Lussier

My Bloody Valentine is 2009 3D remake of the Canadian horror film, My Bloody Valentine from 1981. This time, Partrick Lussier (White Noise 2, Dracula 2000) helmed the film taking the reigns from George Mihalka, the creator of the original film. The film was released in January and since has grossed over $100 million dollars from a $15 million dollar budget. My Bloody Valentine begins with a horrific mining tragedy where six miners are trapped in a cave-in and then killed by one of their fellow comrades, a man by the name of Harry Warden. Once the team is rescued, Warden continues his killing spree making a mockery of societal conventions. Innocent teenagers decide to spend time down in the mine on Valentine's Day but it turns out that that is not such a safe place. Warden begins to kill indiscriminately, regardless of size of gender, and begins by stabbing a pick-axe through one of the teen's eyes. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 19th, 2009.
