My Blue Heaven is a light hearted musical about a television couple that runs into roadblocks when they try to adopt a child. For stars of stage and screen Jack (Dan Dailey) and Kitty Moran (Betty Grable), the only thing missing from their lives is a baby. The couple is blessed with a pregnancy, but a car accident causes Kitty to have a miscarriage, and prevents her from ever having children again. The two entertainers then pursue adoption, at the urging of friends Walter (David Wayne) and Janet Pringle (Jane Wyatt), who have three adopted kids themselves. But when their request is denied by the staunch adoption agency owner Mrs. Johnson (Laura Pierpont), the couple turns to the television and turns their efforts to find a child into a hit program. Henry Koster directs this song and dance vehicle, one of the first to examine the true nature and power of television itself.
