But after James is murdered and their cattle rustled, Wyatt takes on the job of town marshal and deputizes Morgan and Virgil in order to bring their brother's killers to justice. While in Tombstone, the Earp brothers meets the brooding, hard-drinking Doc Holliday (Victor Mature). Soon after, Clementine Carter (Cathy Downs), a school teacher from back East and Doc's former fianc''e, comes to town.
