My Life is a 1993 drama about a terminally ill man preparing for death. Bob Jones (Michael Keaton) is a married man who runs a successful public relations firm. He and his wife, Gail (Nichole Kidman), also await the birth of their first born son. Their joy takes an unexpected turn for the worst when Bob is diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer. Knowing that his time is short, Bob begins to record home movies as a means of immortalizing himself to the son he may never see. On tape, he teaches his son everything from shaving to playing basketball to car repairs. He also visits a Chinese healer, Mr. Ho (Haing S. Ngor), who teaches him about forgiveness and letting go of the past. Through his journey of self-discovery and reconciliation, Bob can now attempt to mend fences with his estranged father Bill (Michael Constantine) and his brother Paul (Bradley Whitford).
