My Six Loves tells the story about a Broadway star named Janice Courtney (Debbie Reynolds). During an interview, Janice encounters a medical issue, requiring her to be on bed-rest for a period of time. She must now return home, so she can get back to performing on Broadway. After her arrival, Janice becomes surprised by what the housekeeper has allowed. While she was away, the shack on her property had been turned into an orphan house, and she finds out that there are more than just children living inside. She seeks condolence from her local pastor, Jim Larkin (Cliff Robertson), who guides her through her hard time. With help from Pastor Larkin, Janice begins to open her heart up and is taught the meaning of compassion. My Six Loves was released in 1963 and is directed by Gower Champion. It includes appearances by Jim Backus, John McGiver, Mary McCarty and Eileen Heckart.
