My Summer of Love is a 2004 romantic psychological thriller directed by Pawel Pawlikowski. The film tells the story of two British teenage girls who are each looking for something to fulfill their lives. Mona (Natalie Press) is a realist and a tomboy, her life is not filled with privilege or excess material things. Her parents died and she is being raised by her brother, Phil (Paddy Considine), who is a born-again Christian after spending some time in prison. Tamsin (Emily Blunt) is the exact opposite of Mona. She is a dreamer and a "girly girl", her life is full of pampering and getting want she wants. An accidental meeting between the two teenagers leads to an unexpected friendship. The girls find that they have intelligence in common and their contrasting personalities balance out the friendship. Each of these girls is looking for something or someone to fulfill their lives. Can they find that in each other?
