Nadine is a 1987 comedy starring Kim Basinger as Nadine Hightower, a beauty stylist who finds herself in a major predicament when a momentary indiscretion leads to trouble. Nadine is first seen working at a beauty parlor in 1954 when she is approached by a suspicious photographer named Raymond Escobar (Jerry Stiller). Escobar fast talks Nadine into taking some innocent pictures (or so she thinks) and after she obliges, the stylist learns Escobar intends to put them on the front of some racy playing cards. Nadine enlists the help of her former husband, Vernon (Jeff Bridges), to take back the photos after she learns of Escobar's intentions. Their visit to the photographer surprises them as the two find Escobar laying dead at the hands of some thugs. A shocked Nadine finds and takes an open packet with her name scrolled on the front and leaves assuming it is her pictures. What she finds, however, are highly valuable and detailed plans for a proposed new road. Now, Vernon and Nadine are on the run from both the police and those murderous thugs who all have a stake in those precious plans.moreless
