Nancy Drew, Reporter is a 1939 film that features smart girl, Nancy Drew (Bonita Granville). Nancy is competing in a local newspaper's amateur reporter contest, and while some of the contestants are given standard items to report about, one story in particular catches Nancy's eye. The assignment is to cover the murder of a young woman, Kate Lambert, and that of the woman whose accused of murdering her, Eula Denning. Nancy has a sneaking suspicion that Eula is not the culprit. Nancy enlists the help of her lawyer father, Carson Drew (John Litel), to defend Eula. While Carson prepares the case, Nancy and her neighbor, Ted (Frankie Thomas) do some sneaking around at Kate's house for clues. When they think they have their hands on an item that may lead them to the killer, they find themselves running from a bad guy and his girl, who incidentally, used to work for the Lambert family. Find out if Nancy and Ted get away, and if she wins the young reporter contest for the newspaper. Watch Nancy Drew: Reporter!moreless
