National Lampoon Presents RoboDoc is a 2008 comedy directed by Stephen Maddocks. Written by two practicing physicians (Doug and Scott Gordon), the film is an over-the-top protrayal of the problems with the nation's healthcare system. Jake Gorman (Alan Thicke), is a greedy medical malpractice attorney who is at the top of his game. His face is on billboards all over town, his radio and television spots run constantly, and he has become a fabulously wealthy man by suing doctors. His success, however, is about to come to an end. R.I.P Healthcare has developed the perfect doctor. The machine never gets tired and never makes a mistake. Known as Robo-Doc, the MD 63 is a robotic doctor whose data files contain every known medical conditions and procedures in the world. If it succeeds, it will bring affordable health care to everyone in the world, and put an end to Jake Gorman's extravagant lifestyle.
