National Lampoon: The Best of the Romp is a one hour collection of underground animated shorts that feature shock value comedy. From a racist Southern baseball coach prone to cursing to a drug-addicted scam artist, these cartoons are crass and in your face, which is why college students love them. Culled from the website Romp.com, and aired on the National Lampoon College Network, these animated shorts prove to be excellent examples of raw college humor. The animation and production values are endearing in their simplicity, and what you would expect in a web-based short. National Lampoon finds the best of the best and puts them all together to stimulate your comedic senses. From the original magazine in the 1970s, the "Vacation" movies in the 1980s, and the web-based humor today, the National Lampoon franchise has produced well received comedic pieces. National Lampoon: The Best of the Romp is no exception, making a mockery of all sorts of modern-day issues.
