National Lampoon’s Blackball is a 2003 sport comedy-drama by director Mel Smith, in the famous National Lampoon’s movie series. In this movie, the handsome, but rebellious, young British lad, Cliff Starkey (Paul Kaye), just cannot seem to stay out of trouble. So when he decides that bowling will be his new pastime, the traditional elderly bowling fraternity in his small hometown on the English coast is appalled. Sure enough, it does not take long after Cliff Starkey arrives on the bowling scene for him to turn it into anything but a calm and dignified sport. With the lawn-bowls championship against Australia coming up, Cliff cannot wait to play for England and is sure that he can find a way to worm himself onto the English team. That is, until slick American sports agent Rick Schwartz (Vince Vaughn) notices him. Fans of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation will enjoy National Lampoon’s Blackball from start to finish.
