National Lampoon’s Going the Distance is a comedy from Brightlight Pictures, directed by Mark Griffiths. In this comedy, Nick (Christopher Jacot) is the son of two West Coast hippies and determined to lead a life as opposite from theirs as possible. He has only just graduated, but already has his whole perfect life planned out, from a lucrative career to a marriage. When he finds out that his girlfriend may be falling for Lenny Swackhammer (Jason Priestley), a famous, oversexed movie producer, he only has three days to get to Toronto for the MuchMusic Video Awards and win her back. His best friends, Tyler (Shawn Roberts) and Dime (Ryan Belleville) convince him to turn it into a road trip. When a series of unexpected occurrences take place, including picking up two sexy hitchhikers, Sasha (Joanne Kelly) and Jill (Mayko Nguyen), and falling victim to a stranger’s accident set-ups, Nick’s perfect plans are turned on their heads. With as many laughs as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and National Lampoon’s European Vacation, National Lampoon’s Going the Distance tells the story of a group of crazy college kids and the road trip adventure of their lives.moreless
