National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon, also known as Loaded Weapon 1, is a buddy-cop parody directed by Gene Qiuntano. The film begins with the murder of police officer Billy York (Whoopi Goldberg). When her ex-partner, Wes Luger (Samuel L. Jackson), learns of Billy's death, he demands to be put on the case in hopes of catching the killer and avenging her death. Soon Wes and his new partner, Jack Colt (Emilio Estevez), are investigating the death and learn it has something to do with notorious criminals General Curtis Mortars (William Shatner) and Jigsaw (Tim Curry). As the buddy cops get deeper into the investigation, they learn Billy was in possession of a mysterious recipe when she was murdered. Wes and Jack believe the recipe is why she was killed. Now, it is up to them to figure out what the recipe was for and then stop the criminals before they can carry out their plan.
