National Lampoon's The Don's Analyst is a made-for-television comedy centered around a sad and disheartened Don Vito Leoni, a.k.a. The Godfather, who seeks recovery by resorting to very desperate measures. The 1997 film was written by David Hurwitz and directed by David Jablin. When The Don (Robert Loggia) realizes the world around him is changing fast, he falls into a deep depression. He'd like to retire but he doesn't trust his two sons have the integrity to keep his business afloat. Don consequently decides to "go straight" and abandon his illegal ventures. That is when his family, friends and wife - who is cheating on him with an enemy - forms an intervention of sorts and has him see a psychiatrist. The film is notably similar to "Analyze That", a film with an almost identical plot. Join actors Rick Aiello, Robert Cicchini, Howard Jerome, Louis Di Bianco, David Calderisi, Angie Dickinson and Alan C. Peterson on this comedic adventure to save The Don.moreless
