Nebraska Supersonic is a low-budget, 2001 American independent film. The film follows three friends, Stan (Jesse Joyner), Dave (Matt Kelehan), and Cal (Sonny Robinson), as they sort out their lives shortly after graduating from college. Unable to hold regular jobs, they attempt to start an unlikely business. They start a bicycle courier service in a place where locations are not easily or quickly accessible by bike. Despite these obstacles, the company, Nebraska Supersonic, manages to drum up some regular business along the 120 mile stretch between Lincoln and Omaha. The company even turns into a success, and with that success comes hard choices for the three buddies. Job offers, romantic entanglements, and the prospect of pedaling much longer cause Stan, Dave, and Cal to consider just what they want in life. Written and directed by Jeremy Lerman and shot on location, Nebraska Supersonic is a funny and poignant film about friendship in the perilous post-graduate period.
