Nervous Ticks is a 1993 screwball comedy directed by Rocky Lane. York Daley (Bill Pullman) wants nothing more than to fly to Rio and marry his beautiful fiance, Nancy (Julie Brown), but his plans are thwarted at every turn. His superintendent, Sol Warhow (Josh Mostel), takes York on a wild goose chase around his building to find his wife, Sonya (Cathy Ladman). York's boss, Reynolds (David Speilburg), tries to negotiate the sale of York's car while he makes him do special tasks for work, and York's lesbian neighbor, Ms. Fennel (Nancy Fish), tries to work out a way to use York's apartment for a romantic tryst while trying to ditch her current girlfriend, Lu (Clair Stansfield). York's plane is due to fly out in less than two hours. Mixed into the works is Nancy's ex-husband Ron (Peter Boyle) who is also an ex-Marine gunning for York for stealing his girl. As personalities collide and casualties mount, the chaos follows York as he tries to make it to Rio.moreless
