New Jack City is a 1991 crime thriller produced by The Jackson/McHenry Company and Jacmac Films and released by Warner Brothers Pictures. Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes, White Men Can't Jump, Passenger 57, Demolition Man, Drop Zone, Murder at 1600, Money Train, Blade, Blade II, Blade: Trinity) is the leader of a local gang of street hustlers. After years of small time drug dealing in the streets, he and his partner Gee Money (The Perfect Storm, House of Payne) discover the product that will make them the kings of New York's criminal underworld: crack cocaine. As time goes by, Nino makes millions of money off his product and becomes powerful and nearly untouchable. So the police put two officers who know the streets, including Scotty Appleton (Ice T, Surviving the Game, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Johnny Mnemonic, Tank Girl) on the case of bringing Nino Brown and his empire down.
