New Jersey Drive is the story of two New Jersey youths who join a crime ring in their poverty-stricken neighborhood. Midget (Gabriel Casseus) and Jason (Sharron Corley) are two black youths on their way to a juvenile detention center. The flashbacks in the film reveals how the two got tangled up in the business of stealing cars and reselling them to a local chop shop where they could be resold by the mob. Their livelihood goes awry when they steal a police car owned by lieutenant Emil Roscoe (Saul Stein). This theft causes the police to begin a serious offensive against the car thieves, and to take Midget and Jason down along with the gang that encourages the kids in their life of crime. The police offensive sets off a series of beatings and ends with the shooting deaths of the some of the gangsters in the theft ring.
