Night and the City tells the story of lawyer Harry (Robert De Niro), and his girlfriend Helen (Jessica Lange), as they work to become boxing promoters. When Harry fails at representing a case against a famous boxing organizer, he becomes obsessed with revenge. Teaming up with boxing King, Al (Jack Warden), Harry develops a get-rich-quick scheme involving a underground fighting match. Although he doesn't know anything about boxing, his quick tongue will get him far, and allow him to make friends with important people in this risky business. This boxing match may win him everything, or cost him his life. Will he be able to fix the fight, get his revenge, and get rich? Or will he lose it all in this elaborate plan? This film, released in 1992, is a remake of the 1950 classic. Directed by Irwin Winkler, this film will have audiences glued to their seats as they wait to see what happens next.
