To get his mind off of his problems, Harry takes a seemingly easy case from actress Arlene Iverson (Janet Ward), who is searching for her missing daughter Delly Grastner (Melanie Griffith). The search takes Harry and Arlene to the Florida Keys, where in the process of searching for Delly, the two have an affair.
