Night of Dark Shadows is a 1971 American horror film written and directed by Dan Curtis and starring David Selby, Grayson Hall, and Kate Jackson. The film tells the story of Quentin Collins (Selby), a handsome young artist who inherits the lavish estate of Collinwood. Quentin and his wife Tracy (Jackson) move into the house and meet the housekeeper, Carlotta Drake, and the caretaker, Gerard Stiles. Quentin begins having nightmares about the tenants of the house from 150 years previous. Carlotta reveals to Quentin that she is the reincarnation of Sarah Castle, a girl who lives at the house previously. Quentin is the reincarnation of Charles Collins, who was buried alive when he was caught cheating with his brother's wife. Unbeknownst to him, Quentin is becoming possessed with Charles, causing Quentin to do things that might kill his wife. When Quentin finally realizes that he is a two minds, he must rush to save not only his own life but the lives of those at Collinwood.moreless
